After a year of use, still holding up. Easy to clean and relatively comfortable. After a few months the chair started squeaking, but a little bit of wd40 around the metal parts fixed it.
Grade me on a curve because all i've had prior to this are your standard, although very padded, leather office chair. This chair has been a great and very comfortable upgrade to my gaming / PC area. I spend hours a day now working for home during the day and into the evening and never get uncomfortable. The sturdy construction and metal base are a great and so far long lasting improvement over poly alternatives. This is an EX Wide chair, i find it to be perfectly sized although i don't have an extra wide build. Great value and well enjoyed
I really like this chair. As a grad student that sits for a decent amount of time every day, I find this chair very comfortable for work and gaming. I am 5 foot 9 and weigh 176lbs with an athletic build and this fits me perfectly. So if you're a lot bigger than I am, I would recommend the bigger version
I'm a hair under 5'8 and I weigh 150lbs. That is the same size as others to which AK's reps recommended this very model. That being said, it is far too tight around the shoulders. So much so that it hurts to sit as there's no way to lean back without feeling as if it's forcing my spine to contort. Even sitting upright is a chore if you have the pillows on. They literally do nothing for comfort and just give your spine another reason to attempt to dislocate. I have been telling myself that this needs to be broken in, and as such I've been trying to sit in it for 10 minutes a day. That being said, that 10 minutes is more agonizing to me than doing burpees in this 100 degree weather. Needless to say, if you lift weights, get a different model. Avoid this chair like the plague.
Good stuff, I like that it comes with the pillows and it is reclining quite a ways as well. I don't think I have any complaint about it yet except that I can't tilt it back as easy as some chairs, I think that might be because it's new...
ETA- I realized there is a knob that you can adjust and it loosens the tilt... much better now
After using it for less than a year and half the elbow rests are wearing out oddly, they are peeling, but a layer of super glue has stuck it back together with some small wrinkles.
Super comfortable and was really easy to put together. Shipped more than a week before it was expected to and got it early, couldn’t be happier. It’s just as comfortable as the $350 chair I have at work, and even has a couple more features.
Easy assembly, super sturdy construction, and very comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. The easily adjustable arms, back, and lumbar pillow do a lot to improve your comfort. The neck pillow I personally found to be an annoyance so I don't use it.
I only have two very minor complaints:
The bolstering is slightly stiffer than I'd prefer, but likely will soften over time
The minimum seat height is like 1" higher than I'd like. I'm fairly average height at 5'10" but have short legs with a 29" inseam, so even when down all the way my feet only sit flat on the ground when bent at exactly a 90 degree angle. More or less than that and either my heels or toes are floating. It sitting so high means I also have to drop the arm rests to the lowest setting to push it in under my desk.
