If this came in black and didn't have a disgusting fake carbon fiber accent I would buy it. Who's this marketed towards? Children with bed frames the shape of Lightning McQueen?

doreato"fake carbon fiber accent", sorry? Maybe you misunderstand. The desktop is covered by a nice surface that is reminiscent of carbon fiber but is not. It gives the surface a great texture and provides more resistance to prevent slipping of mouse pads and the like. Otherwise, thanks for your comments.

AKRacingAmericaYeah exactly, "reminiscent of carbon fiber"... would it be asking too much to have the desk be solid black? I get you guys are racing oriented but could you produce something a little more...subdued? I am actually looking for a desk currently, and all the features you include are great, price is reasonable as well...but the look and color options I don't know who you're targeting this towards.

doreatoThere are plenty of black desks in the world with painted tops. That's not what we're doing. The color is way less noticeable in person than people seem to think online. We just built two in our showroom. In person you barely notice it, it is an accent.

doreatoThis guy reminds me of the Arozzi Rep that was arguing with everybody on their first gaming chair drop, anyone else remember that guy? Maybe they need to hire ArozziScott to assist with their public messaging as he really turned them around; saying there is a distinct difference between “reminiscent“ and “fake” is irritating, at best.

Mav3rickI think if you look at the majority of posts I've made, I hope you'd agree I generally do my best to answer people's questions and be supportive. I "argue" with people when they make unreasonable or (on very rare occasions) dishonest comments. In this case, to say I am argumentative because I decline to go along with the word "fake" strikes me as a bit harsh. What manufacturer is going to agree to labeling their product "fake"? It is very difficult to describe the carbon fiber covering of the desk. In person it looks great and you might possibly understand why I used the word "reminiscent" but it is obviously not "real" carbon fiber.
