It needs to be bigger..
I like the material, and it was actually really well made and thicker than I expected, but it's too small. Also it would constantly get caught under the wheels of my chair when I tried to roll back onto it.
I eventually used about 40 pieces of 3M mounting tape to attach it to the floor beneath my chair but I regret that because although it did almost no damage to the mat (yeah it ripped a little bit of material from each piece of tape but it wasn't noticeable from the top) it took me about 2 hours to get the tape off the floor....
But if it were maybe 4.5' or 5' in diameter (rather than 3' and some change) I don't think I would have had any issues with it.
It works, but wish it was a bit larger. I used to by cheap area rugs to put under my computer chair for protection, but decided to try this. It works, but if you move around a lot so will it. I find myself adjusting it and my chair often. I had the same problem with area rugs. This looks a lot better than cheap clearance area rugs from a low cost home improvement store, but a bit more expensive and smaller. I prefer this, but could use improvement.
I simply could not get this mat to stay in place. After getting frustrated with it bunching up on me so often, I simply set it off to the side as a visual accessory and nothing more.
Holds your chair. Requires perfect placement with a swivel style release. Should come with a chair as they are only ehh quality. I would definitely get a plastic bigger mat than this mat.
Does look really good tho.
Looks nice, but I use it as a rug now. The mat kept my chair from moving around for the most part, but when I did want to move the chair, if I slipped the wheels off the mat then I would need to get up and pick up the chair to put it back on the mat. Any attempt to wheel from floor to mat would just roll the mat under my chair. It's a nice accent rug, though.
