I really like Al Mar knives, but I wouldn’t buy this. It’s too pricy for what it is. If someone really wants it, you can buy it for a little less and get it much faster if you look around.

Al Mar make beautiful classic knives, but they're just to pricey for what they are. Even at the lowest price, you're talking $110-170 for a tiny watch pocket knife with an AUS8 blade. AUS8 for chrissakes - we're not in the 80s anymore!

SlingIf you like Al Mar but find them too expensive, you may want to look for knives made by Moki. I have not handled one, but I read they are the OEM for Al Mar and some of Moki's models are nearly identical.

I like Al Mar and I like small knives. Even for me, the Osprey is too small to be useful. The pictures don't really convey just how tiny it is.
There are always lots of Osprey's on eBay.

dillthepillThat is tiny!! I'm really not understanding how something this small, with AUS-8 steel, can command more than $100.

Daisy_CutterI have other Al Mar knives and they are expensive for the steel, but they are beautifully made and I'm OK with paying for the craftsmanship over being a pure tool. But the Osprey is too far down that path. I paid quite a bit less on eBay for mine and I still wouldn't do it again. I'd say there is a reason eBay is flooded with way more Osprey's than other Al Mar models.
