Al Mar's biggest problem with their fancy pocket knives is that their supplier, Moki Knives, makes very similar knives with better steel and/or more variety at the same price point.

Not to mention the more mainstream alternatives listed elsewhere in this discussion. I love Al Mar knives; I joined the Eagle Ultralight drop just last month. But the company is charging a premium for a logo, more than 25 years after Al Mar's death. That doesn't seem sustainable.
