Lifetime guarantee means for the lifetime of the customer and pack being together, and it protects against any break or tear as a result of a manufacturer defect. There is no number associated with this, just for as long as you own the product.
If you got a rip from carrying items that cause that to happen, that is an example of something that would not be covered. Similar to if you cut or burned the fabric on accident. Manufacturer defects would be along the lines of stitching coming undone, a buckle breaking, a seem ripping, etc. The Presidio Green version on the website has been sold out for a number of weeks.
