So, first off, I'm fat, a bit over 300 pounds (almost everything on the market is for people well under 300), and I ride a motorcycle. I wanted a chair that was comfortable, and packable. I've got Tommy Bahama's beach chairs from Costco (which are great, my fave, and they also work as a back pack/cooler (rated for 300 pounds max, don't put all your weight on the front bar, and you'll be fine)), but they don't really fit on a motorcycle (being a 2.5x2.5' square), and I have a Terralite Portable Camp Chair which gets you off the ground, and packs great, but you can't relax in it. So, this chair meets my needs beautifully. It's comfortable enough (perhaps a cushion under you or pick your spot well) and packs very small. I'll still bring my Terralite, for times when I want to be upright and off the ground, but this has a valued place in my inventory. Seems sturdy enough, but I haven't used it much.
