Allegory Goods Leather EDC Key Carrier

From Allegory, a Kickstarter-born Chicago shop dedicated to small-batch manufacturing, this leather EDC key carrier is where you store anything you can’t leave home without. The main compartment is for cards and receipts. The outside serves double duty: On one side is a polished stainless steel clip for bills; on the other are three elastic rings for your most-used keys. Just push the end of the loop through the keyhole, twist the lanyard, and wrap it back around the key to keep it secure. You can even store the keys in the mini leather pouches when you’re not using them. Of course, as you’d expect from Allegory, the compact key carrier is made from vegetable-tanned leather in three colors for a lasting and reliable construction.

A year after its 2012 launch, Allegory added a suite of leather goods to its existing line of pens. To produce these leather products, Allegory works directly with a tannery in Ecuador, where eco-friendly farming practices are paramount. Vegetable tanned and waterproofed, the leather is built to age well and show character over time. Still, it’s easy to restore to like-new condition with a quick treatment of neatsfoot oil.
