Handcrafted With Old-Growth Teak
Based in Chicago, Allegory Handcrafted Goods is a small company dedicated to making products from carefully sourced, sustainable materials. Its pens are rugged and minimalist, shining a light on the fascinating stories behind each of the materials used. Available in fountain and rollerball types, this new design is made with reclaimed old-growth teak from Indonesia and accented with brass hardware. Allegory works with IndoTeak Design, a company that salvages wood from centuries-old buildings that would otherwise be demolished. Each piece is reclaimed and restored to usable lumber by hand, creating sustainable jobs in the process.
Note: The fountain pen comes standard with a medium nib. For an extra $25, you can get a second nib in the size of your choice: extra fine, fine, broad, 1.1mm, or 1.4mm. You can also add a matching rollerball for $65.
