I ordered the Lightning version but heard from Alpha & Delta that only the type-C adapter uses ALC5685 and the Lightning ones uses Realtek ALC4040. They say difference is due to the fact that the iOS software restricts software decoding to 16 bit at the moment. Is this the case if so please update your description.

AAA55If they refuse to update their description to reflect this, I'll boycott Drop until they do and use this example to urge others to as well.

AAA55 @AAA55 You are correct. We checked with our vendor and the Lightning variant of this product is equipped with a Realtek ALC4040 DAC. The listing has been updated to correct this discrepancy. Thank you for flagging this and our apologies on missing this in the specifications.
