Alpina watches are Swiss made, through and through. After all, the company has been associated with horological innovation since 1880. The Alpiner is a timepiece fit for climbing the highest peaks or the corporate ladder. This quartz-powered version features a durable stainless steel case, a convex sapphire crystal, and a water-resistance rating of 100 meters. The dial design is clean and minimal, with trapezoidal hour markers and a date window at 6 o’clock. The hands, which are lumed for visibility, are sword-shaped and chopped off at the ends. They’re styled in silver and white to pair with the dark dial—blue on the leather model and black on the stainless steel.
