I concur on lower MOQ with higher prices:
$19.99 X 500 = $9,995
$49.99 X 200 = $9,998
$66.64 X 150 = $9,996 (most likely to succeed)
$99.95 X 100 = $9,995
Problem is you need to close this down and start over again.
The only way I see prices going down with the MOQ increasing beyond 200 would be for MD to go behind the scenes and feel KBParadise and MechanicalKeyboards.com out to see if they would be interested in getting in on this.
IMHO TaoHao is being a little greedy/lazy. The market is already saturated with their Cherry MX caps in addition to many competitors taking pieces of their pie.
Yes the Alps market is small, Yes it is probably a pain in the ass to set up the machines - but they can't be busy 24/7. Surely in some down time they could run a couple hundred sets!
BTW: $99.95 for a TaoHao Alps set? Yes ... a bit pricy ... But people shell out $600+ for Korean customs so maybe not too crazy. :-)
Cho_Ren_Sha_68KPlease remember that whilst people shell out >600$ on Korean Customs, nobody in their right mind would ever buy ABS doubleshots for that much (unless they're GMK)
A0.CYea I saw that. If KBParadise would do the same with the Alps version that would be great. Or add backlighting, it has been proved backlighting on Matias Alps works.
Cho_Ren_Sha_68KThanks. I see it hard for myself to pay over $45 for thin doublehshot ABS. Yes they are doubleshot, but the thickness vastly improves keyfeel than the legends.
Plus Matias thick PBT keycaps are coming, how much are those going to cost?
Talking with KBP and mk.com is a great idea. Espcially since KBP has a version of the V60 with these EXACT keycaps just in MX! Cant they have the same with the MTS versions? I would think they could get a better deal than MD.
I agree, TaoHao has gotton greedy lately.
