Flexible Suspension Bike

Designed to turn bumps and frame shake into kinetic energy, the Alter Reflex redefines traditional suspension bikes. The patented design uses a specially shaped top tube and flexible curved down-tube to allow the frame to flex vertically, absorb road bumps, and make pedaling easier. The frame is constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum for a lightweight, flexible feel, while the curved down-tube is made of spring steel. Specific tubular flexibility—from #1 being most flexible, to #6 being most stiff—allows you to choose the tube that suits your needs.

Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of color (black, blue, fluorescent orange, fluorescent green, fluorescent pink, red, silver, or white), frame size (M, L, or XL), and down-tube flexibility (#1, #2, #3, or #6). Assembly is required.

ARC Technology

Alter’s ARC technology is comprised of three key elements: active frame, rider fit, and Quick-Connect System. The active frame is comprised of the flexible aluminum top tube and the arc-shaped down-tube, which in unison provide flexible comfort and performance in the form of downstroke energy storage and dead spot removal. The rider fit allows you to swap out the flexible down-tube based on your weight and preferred stiffness. Finally, the Quick-Connect System allows you to easily swap out your down-tube by yourself with no tools required.
