Built for runners who want to set a new personal record without sacrificing comfort, the Altra One V3 shoes are designed to support you through miles of speed training, racing, and even light trail runs. The redesigned mesh upper wicks away moisture, while the TPU overlays provide a more secure fit. The ultralight EVA midsole features InnerFlex cushioning, which delivers flexible, responsive performance and has a firmer strike that’s well suited for road racing. The FootShape toe box encourages natural toe splay and keeps the big toe straight for more comfort, stability, and power. FootPods on the outsole map the metatarsals for more adaptive, individualized cushioning across the foot. Finally, the proprietary Zero Drop platform ensures an ideal weight balance from heel to forefoot, promotes midfoot striking, and offers a flat, natural ride.

Altra was born in the back room of a Wasatch Mountains running store, where owner Golden Harper met countless runners who complained of knee pain, shin splints, and other injuries from traditional pointed toe boxes and thick, heavy heels. A competitive runner himself, Golden began experimenting with shoe alterations to solve his customers’ problems. By melting the outsoles (in his trusty toaster oven!), he was able to remove the excess heel elevation for a more natural, relaxed foot position. The new platform design was dubbed Zero Drop.
