Got what we expected...A great trail shoe
Got these for my wife and she gave a thumbs up. She wears these on all but our road walks. They feel and sound "weird" when on road surface

These had previously been my favorite trail running shoes. As they began to wear out I saw this drop. Glad to see they are exactly as good as my previous pair. I have a strange heel and require a firm heel box to prevent my foot from sliding around in my shoes. I also prefer shoes with minimal or no drop and have a rather wide foot. These suckers deliver in all regards.

The Superior's are awesome especially if you have a wide foot, which is the reason I bought them. I have ran every different type of race, half, full marathons, 5-10k's, in the asic gel kyano's and have loved those shoes but I believe as I have gotten older my feet have gotten wider and splayed out. If you have a wide foot and run trails you will enjoy these shoes, if you dont and just like the look you may be getting more room than you want. Good luck to everyone and get out there and kick up some dust, posers.

I have a process for checking out new shoe brands. 1. Buy when I can get a price break. 2. Wear around inside house doing chores for 1-2 hours to see if any problems jump out. This is simply to ensure that I can return them without hassle. 3. If no issues, wear them on a 3-5 mile walk. On this new-brand foray I didn't have any trouble until the walk. At a little over 2 miles I was feeling a slight rub on top of my foot at the large toe first knuckle. I kept going but by 2-1/2 miles it was becoming a sharp pain so I stopped to take a look. I found the front edge of the gator trap/lace reinforcement is cutting into me during the peak bend, just before the forward swing of the leg. I'm glad I didn't run in them. No hard feelings, it's why I buy low and test the way I do. Sometimes shoes just don't work for me. I'll just stick to my Peregrines.

Unusif you wear a normal sock you should have no issues. I noticed the same thing and have put 500+ miles on mine without issues, but again you have to wear socks. Good Luck.

DavidLindleyYep. I get that. I wear socks. I average 30-35 run-miles per week. I'd say it's a very small manufacturing glitch. I didn't mention that it's only on one foot since I truly have no regrets or bad feelings about the buy. It happens.

I'm enjoying them so far. I replaced the laces with elastic locking laces so the shoes stretch more with my feet. Very comfortable, i've never felt this confident walking through shallow mud!

Traction is great. Ground feel is superb. I dig the wide toe box. The shoe is breathable and so far trail snags have not been able to damage the upper. My only beef is the shoe laces extend pretty far down towards my toes. This creates a pressure point at the base of my big toe when I extend. (Like when I am running up hill.) Afraid this will lead to hot spots on longer runs.

The insert is not very good. After just 6 hrs walking in the shoe the insert has a depression at the big toe which caused a blister to form
