I got an email today. Something good is coming your way! A package for your order DROP-XXX has shipped. Keep an eye on its progress with the tracking number XXX.  The following item from your order has shipped Shipping Address

My address here.

I followed the link and it said that shipping info had been sent to FeDex. But there was no link from that page.

Hmmmm? I wonder if the info was sent to Fedex from one of drop's many secret global warehouses.  Amare A-Max 14C28N Neck Knife
Color: Black PVD It's my plan to keep further notices posted here so those unfamiliar with the shipping practices here can see it in real time. Me.

Well, I decided to buy this. I'm thinking that I should be able to get a functional edge on this Sandvik. I had a $15 credit, so I felt like this was a great deal. Then I find I am going to be charged $5 for shipping and handling. I feel like Blinkin when he fell off the watchtower. He gets up and exclains I can see! He promptly runs into a tree and says no, I was wrong. The drop giveth and the drop taketh away. Their emphasis is on the latter.

Any other Kiwis buy/receive this knife in New Zealand yet? Mine has been “in transit to destination country” for the last 5 weeks!
Just some background on the design of this knife as it is being talked about a lot here. Ulrich Hennicke is the designer and the 'design brain' behind the Amare brand. We at Real Steel proudly manufacture the knives for Amare, but have little or no input into the design process - our role as partner is to provide help with construction and finish, not design. Additionally, we don't think skeletonized fixed knives are the design of one designer or company. Those familiar with these knives know that they come in different shapes and sizes.

Good deal here, seems like the cheapest I can find anywhere else is $46. Thinking I'll throw a couple of these in the tackle box, for me and my son when we're out fishing. Nice small, non-threatening, easy access, easy cleaning blade. I just feel like they got the blade/sheath combo backwards for outdoorsy stuff 😒 High visibility sheath on the black knife your going to lose if you drop it in the dark...and vice versa with the black sheath on the high visibility silver knife? Looks like I've got a new sandblasting project coming up 😁

Actually, if you think about it, they are made by the same brand. Amare knives are manufactured by Real Steel, and Reel Steel is the premium brand for Sanrenmu, so basically all of those are Sanrenmu knives.

bdpfLol you know, that totally slipped my mind. All the same though, there are differences between the two model designs...I think this one looks nicer of the two, particularly the flat area below the "ring"
