Any way of getting another pocket clip for this knife? Mine snapped off at work. Great EDC knife if you need a small slicer with great action. Doesn't feel like a toy like my Bugout does for almost double the price.
Hi all, I love this knife but I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with lockup and detent holding the blade closed? Yesterday I took the knife out of my pocket and the blade swung open like a gravity knife. The spring on the lock also doesn't seem to be returning in the same way. Next step is to take the knife apart, but I'd rather not do that if this is a known issue with no fix. Also....any issues with the pocket clip? I've had to bend mine back into place a couple of times after approx 2 months of ownership. And before you ask, no I'm not hammering on the knife. So far the heaviest duty this blade has seen is whittling marshmallow sticks for campfires.
Does anyone know where this knife is manufactured? I read somewhere that Amare was a German company, but having never heard of them myself, I don't know where they do their production. I'm not super concerned with the place of origin, but having a German-made knife actually made in Germany would be a neat bonus.
Does anybody else's knife have an obvious issue in the blade symmetry? I got mine in today, and when check out the blade it's ground unevenly - the the flat faces of the blade aren't symmetrical towards the middle of the spine towards the tip! There's a definite curve towards one face when I look down on the blade from the tip. This is very amateur and unprofessional and I hope I just got a lemon that I could get fixed!
Product information "FieldBro"
The FieldBro is a light, handy and very usefull fast EDC folder. The LR lock, stands for left and right to handle locking mechanik. In fact it is the famous well known axis lock, wich name is protected, but it is free to build. The pocket folder is your bro in the field.

It is the shorter 83 mm length. I just started EDCing this knife after minor modifications. Initially, I wasn't blown away because the aggressive texture of the handles made it difficult to stow in the pocket. After accidentally ruining the tension of the clip, i removed it to rebend it and while I had it off o used a file to soften the handle under the clip. It's much better now, and otherwise the knife is great for EDC. While similar to the Benchmade Bugout, it's much more rigid and solid feeling while being less than half the price.
I am sure I would like this more than my bugout. I am going to try and find some reviews. I have the big Amar'e slip joint. That's a good one. I may get this one.
Im sorry but this just a blatant ripoff/bad copy of the benchmade bugout. I dont care how cheap it is, i would never in a million years trade my bugout for this inferior knife with comparably inferior steel. I personally choose the quality of materials, craftsmanship, and phenomenal customer service benchmade provides, and choose to buy American made products every chance i get
Pretty eloquent writing! The unsaid part is that we shouldn’t pay supersteel prices for knives with VG-10, but that’s not the case here anyway. I have yet to experience a practical difference between even 8Cr13MoV and my best steel knives (I use a Byrd Meadowlark more than any other knife, in the kitchen as a pairing knife), so super steels are just for the emotional “cool factor” for most people.
I do enjoy the tactile/fidget factor of folding knives though. As long as there’s still well-made affordable options, and people accept that they’re just looking for a cool luxury/art in the form of a knife, then they can spend as much as they want IMO 😂
I’d also like to hear your take! My first experience with a Bugout and Griptillian: the Griptillian slipped out of my hand while I was trying to flick a full deployment out with the thumbstud, and it fell point first into my thigh. I had to apologize to the store owner and offered to pay the difference between new/used (because I didn’t want to own the knife after that!), while staining my pants with blood and asking if he had a bandaid. I think I was pretty cool-headed about it, all things considered.
