Product Description
Extra wide at 1 ¾ inches, the Brigadier belt from American Bench Craft can be worn as a work, utility, or wilderness survival belt—or any time you need something especially tough. That’s because it’s made from a single strip of vegetable-tanned full-grain English bridle leather measuring more than ⅛ inch thick Read More
Sad belt for that kind of money! I bought very ornamental Western Belt for less than that strip of leather!
Probably made in China or with foreign leather.
Just got mine. Beautiful and nice details. I think it should be thicker (like A simple leather belt) and have Chicago screws. I hope it will last long enough. Usually snap buttons fail quickly
Just a heads up for those contemplating your belt/hardware options: in the black color, I believe the natural and antique brass illustrations are switched (compare to same for the brown leather). Antique should be the darker of the two; am I right, ABC?
Roller buckle, with the option to purchase another buckle in a different color, and I'm all over this. Been looking for a good 1.75" thick belt in black.
Hi American Bench Craft! You guys are awesome. I got in on the Working mans belt and I love it so much I've pretty much stopped wearing anything else. I've requested another drop already https://www.massdrop.com/buy/70204
Anyway I wanted to ask what the difference is between this and the Working Man's Belt. Is it just the width (1.5 vs 1.75) ?
I found out you're in Wilmington too! Maybe I'll stop by sometime.
BearJew50Hey, not sure on a date yet for the future drop, but I'd guess 6-8 weeks. As for price, Massdrop asks that we do not disclose that on this public forum. Sorry!
Which color option would look best with this style of belt in a semi-formal environment? I plan on pairing it with khakis and a shirt/tie or clean polo.
Just saw from a previous comment that this belt uses snaps. That knocks out my interest in this one.
It's a personal preference, but I really, really dislike snaps on belts. Chicago screws just look and feel better to me, and I've had much better reliability with them. I do like the belt, though. If you offer it with Chicago screws sometime, I'd be in for it.
This is the only 1.75” belt we have available right now. We are hoping to do this drop again in a couple months, but it’s really up to Massdrop. As for a 2” belt, we don’t have any plans for it right now, but we will definitely keep your request in mind. Thanks!
Also, if we still can’t convert you to a snaps guy, feel free to reach out directly for a custom belt :)
This potentially interests me! Would that be a custom change to a massdrop order? Or would I reach out to you via your website or some other means? I missed your message here when you posted it, and this drop is over, but I'd be even more interested in a 1.5" belt.
Already have an ABC Everyday Belt. It's awesome - I wear it daily matching to semi-casual work attire. Really happy with the build quality and it feels like it will last a lifetime.
I can't decide between the Brigadier or Badlands for casual wear though.. decisions decisions..
silverspurr59That’s a nice belt. Our belts do use snap hardware allowing you to swap out the buckle. And as for price, if we were using a natural veg tanned leather, our price would be right around that. Our belt is slightly more expensive because Bridle leather is just a more expensive leather. Hope that makes sense
