Hey @crazydesigners , could you share what ASE stands for and what the mode does? Also, I’m a gamer, and I find gaming (particularly with chat/microphone enabled) to be a particular challenge for Bluetooth wireless, so I’m curious how Angry Miao addresses that? Lastly, the pictures look very cool, but I’m not exactly sure how the Shell Black and Dark Side color options are different from each other, due to the low key lighting in the pictures. Thank you for the extra information! Always good to see a vendor participating and helping to fill in the blanks :)
Iridescent, that’s pretty unique! @crazydesigners So, ASE provides EQ, but also makes a proprietary 2.4 gHz connection between buds and base? I suppose the base is wired in with USB-C then? If so, that’s pretty significant, because normal Bluetooth sound quality seems much more compressed if I enable the microphone on other headsets, and the 120-200ms (or more) lag is enough to throw off my reaction speed and timing when I’m tracking someone running on the other side of a wall and waiting for them to come into view. 0.036 of a second is exceptionally fast, I honestly don’t think I could perceive that. Is the base station detected as a 5.1 or 7.1 surround device by Windows when it’s in ASE mode? Does the Virtual 7.1 surround work while in the ASE gaming mode, or just movie mode?
(Edited)
EvshrugRight now only movie booster supports virtual 7.1 surround sound if you want to play FPS games or any games that require footsteps and gunshots awareness we recommend you select the movie booster.

It's sad to see drop deleting comments, you knew the reaction to this product would be a controversy. Mod edit: We have sold many Angry Miao products in the past, there is no controversy here. One comment (yours, which you have repeated here) was removed for being offensive and off-topic. I don't know exactly the inspiration that Angry Miao had in mind when they chose their name, but a quick google search reveals that Miao are "a group of linguistically-related peoples...", so there is really no need to chime in about what the word might mean in your language.

Cferrer1983Oh, interesting. I saw your comment and assumed you deleted it cause it was quite dumb and not related at all to the product, lol.

Yes, pay $250 for wireless earbuds that are only worth using at your home desk or maybe your laptop. The case looks really large and uncomfortable to put in a pocket for portable use. IMO it sounds inferior to a similarly priced Arctis Pro or similar Bluetooth headset that won’t get uncomfortable

KolMan2000I honestly understand where you're coming from, but I think there might be a small niche for this product. I've been looking for something similar for a long time, mostly cause I can't wear headphones due to TMJ so I only use earbuds, but there aren't really a lot of options when it comes to better connectivity than bluetooth (Mainly because Windows is horrible when it comes to BT)
RavenFrosttYeah, Windows is weirdly behind Android and iOS in how it handles Bluetooth. I think these would be especially good for games and movies. A laptop, Steam Deck, or Nintendo Switch is usually transported in a case which probably would also have room to fit the charging case. I also don’t think the 36ms latency comes from using normal Bluetooth… that’s essentially imperceptible (compared to the AirPods which have about 120ms latency). Anyone else see the resemblance? 😂
