MascotRohitThe keyboard has a three-dimensional curved metal body which makes it extremely hard to craft, even with a high precision 5-axis CNC machining
mostercookieYeah. Exactly my point. Achieving this design with CNC is no small task. This keyboard is also a collectible and an art peace.
Let me know stop skilling for Angry Maio 🤣
MascotRohitYup, not mentioning it should be the first complete WIRELESS (charging and connection) ergo as far as I know. It was launched last year and sold for a couple of hundreds.
MascotRohitthank god Angry Miao or other brands doesn't just offer products of this price range. But AM Hatsu is one-of-a-kind for sure. No replacement for its features and design/ craftmanship yet.
mouse_mdFor that price my fingers should just insert into the board like a plug and should link up with Elon's brain chip so the darn thing will just type whatever I think...now that would be cool.
While I completely agree this price is absolutely insane, it's not Drop that chose the price - Angry Miao has sold this elsewhere with the same price tag. Drop obviously chose to run it on their site, though. At least it's only an extra $750 for the fancy paint job version.
I think it's the first "wireless" ergo in terms of both wireless connection (no cable between the split keyboards and the input device) and wireless charging. A low-frequency communication protocol is developed specially for this product to achieve low interference and low latency.
The surface is a 3D curved metal uni-body. We may see a lot of curved shape ergo in 3D-printing or plastic, but this is aluminium alloy. Only 5-axis CNC machining can do that but since the uni-body is not a regular shape, the craftmanship is still difficult and costly.
I think the product description in DROP is a bit too simplified, take a look of Angry Miao's website: https://www.angrymiao.com/am-hatsu/
