This board is actually quite amazing. I got one almost a year ago and it is one of my main boards in my rotation. If you like a split ortho linear, this is true endgame. The price is high, but the comfort and ergonomic frame more than make up for it. It absolutely takes getting used to, but I've been using the left half as a really nice game pad as well (like an orbweaver, without the cheap silicone that gets weird after a couple of years). As a connoisseur of ergonomic boards this is one of my top picks. I'm glad to see it for sale again it's a beast of a keyboard that will make even your keyboard hobbyist friends drool when they see it in person.

HahnzoThe reason why the Hatsu Battleship version is more expensive is that it was a collaboration with an artist and influencer SDARK, who put a lot of effort into designing and handcrafting this product. The style was a bit of a mix of "wasteland" and "mecha", and the craftsmanship and production process involved is extremely complicated. Some of the additional steps involved are:
  1. Manual spray painting on metal surfaces (the difficult part is, spray paint comes off easily on the metal surface, so it takes multiple efforts trying and touching-up).
2. Hand painting and sanding to achieve the battle-damaged look and create a "wasteland" feel (again since it's completely hand-made, it takes a lot of time to reach our desired look). 3. Apply a layer of high-quality lacquer over the base paint (since the pattern is unique and hand-crafted, doing it as precise as possible is difficult and definitely not an easy task). 4. Matte protection layer finish for preventing scratches (the hand-painted finish is very delicate, and therefore multiple layers of protection are crucial). So, the value of this special edition lies in its design, craftsmanship, and applying protective finishes on top of the manual painting and polishing. Not to mention a collab fee is usually also involved, where brands need to pay the respective co-branding artist for their work. To be frank, Angry Miao isn't really making any money on this.

ThebigboyThanks for the info! In the future I recommend against doing collabs if they cost so much for you too!

HahnzoCollab is much more expensive than people think (cost hundreds of thousands dollars with a renowned IP). Although SDARK is an artist only known in China, it was one of the reason why the Battleship ver. is expensive. Nevertheless it's mainly because the complicated craftmanship.
