Have you noticed this thing does not have a review page? And I don't think it is because it's so good it does not need reviews. Here is my conspiracy theory:
  • Drop has not sold a single one of these luxurious paperweights.
  • Moreover, if you check their photos page, only 2 are seemingly not from the company itself, Drop, or a tech reviewer.
  • From those 2, 1 belongs to a special edition which was not even carried by Drop, so for all I know, somebody got scammed early on with their NTFs "gift" (yeah, it's bad), uploaded a photo and it ended up on Drop.
  • That leaves a single semi-valid actual customer photo, or it's just another company photo, but uglier so people get fooled somebody actually bought one.
On a side note, how tf does Drop curates the "Bought together" button? Why would somebody get a Hatsu and a Cyberboard? Honestly after being acquired by Corsair I was hoping they would up their standards, but apparently it's just wishful thinking.

Oh my friend, Drop cannot be further away than what Massdrop was. They only inherited the name, but none of the actual matter. There are eventually some things that are somewhat attractive, but those are becoming more and more rare as time goes on.

That is one of the stupidest things they could have done. I have no idea how on earth they did not bundle the mat with the keyboard given the charging port is at the bottom of each half. That's Apple's Magic Mouse level stupid. I cannot say the thing does not look amazing, but the Glove 80 and Dactyl Manuform are the same way, out worldly. I have thought of purchasing it, but only if I ever get into PCB design so I can swap their crap for a decent one that does not need their SW and does not break just by looking at it out of the case. Also, more than once I have found very sketchy processes running on Chinese software :S.

That robot's thumbs look really relaxed and comfortable, typing on its robotic keyboard.

Suddenly my collection of $300 or so keyboards looks very reasonable. Might have spent $1600 over the years on them. RSI from 25 years ago, I've outlasted multiple kinesis ergo, currently on a Keyboard.io Model 01.

ChaostrophyThat keyboard is mighty interesting, although the only hiccup I have is with the Alps stem. I love to add flair to my keyboards and love my cap sets.

Someday they'll get rid of their extra stock they can't push for the insane price they paid.

CyphreThey will get rid of it. As I said many times before, this keyboard is just form over matter, and most people like it or not, are more into form than into matter. I think they sold 3 or just lowered the "successful run" status so much they are willing to label it as such with only 2 sales of this magnificent turd. But honestly, even 1 sale will be enough to call it a success at this point.

Always nice to see this crap back on sale, are the "true professionals and connoisseur of ergonomic boards" ready for Christmas ?

I quote "For this run to be successful, at least 6 members are needed to join. blabla". Then you can read: "5 days left / +6 purchasers needed". 0 sales. Normal: comment explaining everything is from @Alejo1707 , below, - it's much more interesting than mine.

Drop is never transparent about a success or failure on an item they sold. It happened before on their own Marvel Series sets, which they never even disclosed how many were actually sold, and I have seen items which would close in 5 minutes with a lot of missing sales before success, being marked afterwards as "Sold Out". My guess is that this BS, being as expensive as it is, would be a success even if a single one was sold. Are you telling me Angry Miao would say no to a purchase of their "exquisitely crafted" paperweight? Sorry if I came a bit aggressive, but Angry Miao along with Drop is like sus truckfood and ipecac, they make the ultimate turd. Just know it's not against you my friend ;)

SpecTPI will say it's a "hyped" product since there is no other split wireless ergo keyboard right now on the market even though this $1600 had been launched for over a year.

I want this very much, but I can't go to $1600 for a keyboard. Let me know when the price drops below half that.
https://www.zsa.io/moonlander/ Moonlander is solid but not the same. the hatsu wireless is pretty cool  5-axis cnc and it just being a block of metal lols. Also the all wireless probably where the price comes in. Though, i feel like for 1600 they should throw in that deskmat for wireless charging at least lol

"...the all-white RGB lighting delivers a stark, one-tone aesthetic." It's white. Just say, "the backlight is white." That's all there is to it, what is going on here? Hahaha The above quote mixed with the attached image (this thing is PACKED with unique features and the ONLY "highlight" is something it DOESN'T HAVE!? hahaha) has officially convinced me that composition/copy approval of ALL product blurbs are outsourced to moms on fiverr with only the product name and a single picture given for reference. Will they research for more details? Will they even check out the manufacturer's resources or just click on the first keyword stuffed fake article when researching? Who knows! Regardless, whatever is written, no matter how accurate, detailed, or factual, gets published with seemingly zero proofreading from Drop to ensure that a single listing posted doesn't misinform, obfuscate, omit, or somehow generally leave potential buyers with more questions than they started with. As a seller, you want to make sure those interested have all the info they could want to ensure an educated purchase and avoid surprises, disappointment and returns....right? But hey, maybe that's part of the intended experience with this shop. If you're not forced to look off-site for basic product info, adding your question bin a sea of others asking for clarification on what's actually being sold, or paying at or above retail to then wait half a year for shipment, is it *really* a purchase from Drop?
