I like this watch--in stainless, but not as much with the lime green and black theme, and not at all in the bronze/black, but pretty much in the bronze/blue combination--but no way in hell at plus $320--that makes it $1,169, and that's...a lot of money!

RayFthe green one would actually be my choice, but only at the $400 mark, maybe $500. If you’re going bronze I always say go Zelos. The newer swordfish models would fit the bill.

RayFRay i need some free advice from a Seiko guy im being haunted by the SPB103J1 beautiful green sumo $899 do you think the price will go down or should I take a chance and pull the trigger now what do you think about the watch thanks in advance in case you answer

ED61Beautiful watch; I can relate to your enthusiasm/desire for one. I was feeling the same way about the Dawn Grey Turtles and Samurais when I first I saw those. I'll tell you how I handled it--I waited. Eventually my emotional response subsided and I was able to think about it in terms of the value. I decided against the purchase. I'm not always that smart. So, two ways to look at it:

I want it now and price be damned!
I'm willing to wait for either a lower price, or my interest in it to pass.

If you're leaning towards option 1, it does seem like the price for that watch has begone to level off from previous highs. And maybe that new LE Red-Thing Seiko just came out with will distract would-be SPB103J1 bidders? But if you're leaning towards option two, my guess is they're never going to be truly inexpensive, so would a price drop of $75 really influence your purchase decision? Final thought: if you really love it, go with your gut.
