I've had this 800 watt unit for 2-1/2 years, since the Kickstarter offer. I use it a few times every month and have never used the Bluetooth connection. I wouldn't want my food to sit in a lukewarm bath for a few hours (before turning it on remotely) for food safety reasons. One can breed some pretty nasty microbes in that time. And when you're cooking for hours, what's a few more minutes bringing the water up to temp?
