Is there a truely 7.1 surround sound set of headphones that isn't a gaming headset so I can use this mic with it? ond not have a ghetto second mic and poor sound quality?

southparkkidsThis makes absolutely no sense at all. You do not need 7.1 channel audio to use this mic. You do not need a second mic either. 7.1 channel headphones would be a waste of money by the way. There will not be much difference between 7.1 channel headphones and a pair of Sennheiser HD558's or AudioTechnica AD700's

southparkkidsYou get a nice set of stereo headphones and something like an Astro Mixamp or Turtle Beach DSS to give you virtual surround. That's how most of the "7.1" gaming headsets work anyhow, they just cost a ton for crap sound.

southparkkidsDon't know if they are still made, but the psyko crypton/carbon headsets are both true 5.1 although they are purely for gaming and sound like shit with anything else. The design is indeed interesting however.

StillhartWhat really that works? Like any Stereo headset? If have an AstroA40 and since I got my pair of Audioengine A5+ they sound kinda washed out. I'm interested!
