I like it but this is my first headset style mic, so take this with a grain of salt. The people I talk to never have any complaints about quality of sound so I guess I have nothing to complain about. Price wasn't too bad either so I'm pretty satisfied.
The only gripe I have with it is that the 3m sticky pads don't last too long, I frequently move the mic in an upright position when I'm not using because I hate having something in my face when I don't need it to be there, this seems to loosen the sticky pad a bit after constant use. The first pad came off almost immediately (it was on a mesh surface like the one shown in the massdrop picture) , the second one I've put on (placed slightly below the mesh surface on a completely flat frame portion of my headset) has been sticking well.
I'd recommend not placing the 3m sticky on a mesh surface. If you have no choice, make a metal wire mounted flat surface to put on the mesh and then stick the 3m tape to that or opt for something else.

GCq1w2e3Just as another point of view regarding the 3M adhesive, I've had a ModMic 1.0 adhered to the mesh on my Sennheiser HD 598 for just on 2 years now, and it's still holding fine. Possibly they changed the adhesive, or the later ModMics might be heavier?

GCq1w2e3Hmmm... That seems weird... I've had my Modmic attached to my AKG K712s on a mesh surface for over a month now with no signs of the adhesive losing its strength. Maybe it was a bad sticky pad or the surface wasn't prepped properly? I personally made sure to prep the area with the alcohol wipe provided and held the clasp on for a solid minute.

grumpy1471I did prep it properly, I haven't had any trouble with the second one though but I placed that one on a smooth surface.
