msxmsxWhy would that be the case?? The pickup of the mic isn't near the driver of the headphones? Sure closed headphones don't let as much sound out, but if your open headphones are letting out enough sound to be picked up on the mic turn your volume down...
msxmsxI have a Modmic on my K712s and there is no detectable feedback whatsoever. I wouldn't worry about it. The K7xx and Modmic will be an absolutely amazing gaming setup and great value overall
grumpy1471Do you happen to know how the K7xx and Sennheiser HD 650's match up? I've been looking for audiophile headsets, but don't really know what to go with after seeing the K7xx, I put my order in already, but am not too confident yet on them.
PixelI haven't personally tried the HD 650s (I have to get to trying more headphones). From what I've heard, the 650s will need an amp more than the 7xx will. Both will require amping to truly shine but the 650s should need it a bit more than the AKGs. The AKGs tend to be more analytical compared to the more laid back and "fun" sound of the 650s. Mad Lust Envy seems to prefer the K712s to the 650s on his gaming guide in practically every aspect. The 7xx are the same if not super close to the K712s so the 7xx should be overall better than the 650s (especially in gaming due to the better soundstage). Try the K7xx out. I love my 712s personally.
ggfoolsOf course, however, they were made to be almost exactly like the K712s or the annies; if they are indeed as close as they're supposed to be, he should be able to look up 712 or 65th reviews and base his choice off of that.
