Hey guys,
I got my ModMic about a year ago after going through a bunch of different clip on and standing mics. The ModMic sound quality is great, even with minimal hardware. I've been using the mic with my DT990's and I couldn't be happier minus a few things;
There is a bit of a wiggle on the mic. The "gear" used for positioning the boom up and down is a little awkward... to the point that I don't use it. I wish the "gear" featured more aggressive teeth to keep the mic secure in place, minus the re-positioning feature.
Don't tighten the the screw that affixes the mic to the magnet, it just damages the cord sleeve.
Cable management is a bit of a pain. If you have a coiled headphone cord, things can get downright frustrating. Buy some 3M hooks to manage that mess.
Other than that, it's a great product that I've used on the daily for a year now.
