I'd primarily be using this headset for gaming, so noise canceling would be the best option right? Or omnidirectional?

FeenohYup that's right, just get the standard. The only situation I can think of using an omnidirectional mic for gaming is if you are playing with other people in the same room and only have this mic to tell things to other players that aren't in the same room.
