This is really close to what I'm looking for--didn't know this existed until now, another reason why I like Massdrop :)
But now thinking about it, I'd prefer to have an ear loop since I have big circumaural headphones over the adhesive. I haven't been able to find one without an earbud (that I don't need and would get in the way). Anyone happen to know if someone makes something like that?

teknomanI'm having a bit of trouble understanding what you're looking for. This mic attaches to the outside of the headphone cups with the adhesive, not to the inside. Also, any microphone which did attach on the inside would most likely be uncomfortable seeing as how the mic would have to extend out of the cup and it would block the sound from the headphones. This is really the only option for headphones which don't use a detachable cable on the headphones themselves. For headphones which do use a detachable 3.5mm cable to receive audio, there are a few more options, V-MODA boom pro.

SamNasarabadiThanks for the reply. Yes that's what I was looking for, a mic that would extend around my ear under the ear cup of my existing headphones. But I hadn't thought of that--maybe that would not be possible because the thickness and angle of the boom would push out the ear cup.
Hmm so maybe this is my best bet...

teknomanWhy on earth would you want the mic attaching on the inside of the earcup bro? I really can't see a single benefit of that, + where would the mic be attached when the inside of the earcup is made of soft material that would be a nightmare getting any adhesive to stick to. Do you have any special situation you want it fo, am I missimg something?

EnixionNo he's talking nonsense, the Modmic is indeed the best mic you can get, there is nothing similar. I don't get why anyone would want to mount the mic inside the ear loop over to mounting it on the outside of the headphones.. OP would even create much more background noise since you have direct contact with the mic and moving your cheeks would create crackling noises and similar shit which will be super annyoing for people who have to hear you.. OP why don't you think more about the people who hear you instead of impractical things which seem practical for you but aren't?
I got the super expensive Beyerdynamic Custom Gear mic, which now has a defective contact after a year which causes me to produce static noise while voicechatting.. I'm so damn glad that massdrop is offering the Modmic, since the manufacturer needs two months to deliver it to Germany which is too long for me..

shawlyIf you do not want to wait and you are willing to pay full price for it, you can get the modmic from Caseking.de, the German international partner of Antlion.

KAPS1M0Oh wut I never saw this! Why doesn't Antlion mention this on their page? Ah well I already bought the ModMic here on Massdrop so it would be shipped from Massdrop which shouldn't take as long am I right?
