Question before purchase: The description states "This drop is for the Omni-Directional Muted Mic only" but according to the official website the ModMic 4.0 "features the same noise-reducing uni-directional".
Does it mean that the current drop is a "massdrop only"special one or it's a typo in the drop description?

GuillaumeGI assume that this drop only for Omni-Directional Muted Mic type only. It's not like the last drop that give 4 options for the types you want, tho.

ReijiKyosukePThank for your input but before committing to buy it, I'd prefer get the information directly from massdrop since the constructor don't produce it… (Usually, when massdrop get a "special edition" just for them, it's a written in a big font all around)

GuillaumeGThe ModMic 4 came in unidirectional and omnidirectional versions, both with the mute switch option. It's not a Massdrop exclusive. I know this because I own an omnidirectional, mute-able, ModMic 4. You're correct that they don't seem to currently advertise this version on their website, but they did when I was buying it. You can also find reviews online comparing the omni and unidirectional versions.

GuillaumeGAntlion originally offered the 4 in omni and uni directional mics. I'm assuming that since they no longer mention the omni on their site, they no longer have any stock of the older spec since Antlion has moved on to the 5.
This does not prevent other vendors from still selling them.

Everyone so far is basically correct. This is the Omni directional version, which was discontinued late last year. The remaining inventory is being sold through Massdrop and will continue to be sold on places like Amazon until we run out of them entirely. If the Uni-directional is more your thing, sadly, you'll have to wait longer to find it on sale (could be a very long wait).
Apologies for the confusion this seems to have caused!
