I have the modmic 4 directional, and I am reasonably happy, but it does not work with my high end setup sound blaster X7. I have to use a cheap USB adapter from logitech. I tried using it with my sound blaster X7, and the volume is just too low, which is really dissapointing. Everything else about the setup works well. Anyone have this problem?
I have the modmicc on HiFiMan HE400i headphones, which are amazing with the X7 as the DAC/headphone amp.

johnyqWe're looking into these reported issues of low volume. We're confident it has to do with low phantom power levels, but we're working on being more specific and finding if there's any alternative workarounds beyond using a USB port to power the mic.

AntlionJoeWhat kind of bias does the mic need? My mobo supports up to 3.8v bias but I've seen 5v on some realtek chips... would be pretty bummed out to find that I need a dongle to connect it.

techwizHey sorry for the delay on this, somehow I missed the comment. 3.8v should be enough, 5v would be better, but shouldn't make or break things.
