i can't get this darn mic to work........
my current setup:
asus sabertooth z77 onboard audio enabled, modmic connected to mic input from back of motherboard.
Sennheiser hd598 connected via fiio e10k dac/amp. this is connected via usb.
now on recording devices i can see the mic and also when i speak into it the audio lvl of the mic goes up, meaning it is detected and supposedly working.
but none of my friends can hear me when we get on skype or steam.
anyone got a similar setup with success?

NYalexHave you tried going into your skype settings and setting the appropriate input device. If you are running Windows 8, skype has a tendency to choose a different inpute device.

NYalexhave you selected it in those programs? go to settings and see what device the program uses
