This question is for the Massdrop team. The description is confusing. Under the Specs, it is clearly stated that it does have the mute button ("· 3.3 m cable ... etc. etc. ...and mute button." Then, below one of the last photos, there is a note saying that it does NOT include the inline mute switch. So... Does it have the mute button or not? If not, it might be a good idea to amend the Specs. Thanks and, in any case, I'm glad that the UNI-directional version is back!

mbornscheuerThe unit I got (and have been using very happily for the past 2 months) has the inline mute switch, and I got the most basic option available.
EDIT: These seem to be a different model than the one I got. Disregard my comment, please.

EggheadThank you for your reply, Egghead. The thing is, the unit you got 2 months ago is not exactly the same. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that you got the Omni-Directional Muted Mic, not noise-cancelling. 37.99 (March 2017) . The current one apparently is the UNI-Directional model... not sure if it is noise-cancelling or not (that would be good to know, too), and it is still unclear if with or w/o Mute switch. Since the models change from one drop to another, I hope somebody with the Massdrop Team can jump in and offer a more "official" answer :)

mbornscheuer" Note: This drop is for the Uni-Directional Muteless Mic only. "
Stated right there.

mbornscheuerThe modmic 4 has a removable inline mute switch. It comes in 4 pieces of mic and cord: the mic itself, the inline mute switch, a 2m cable and a 1m cable. You can put them together however you like. Also the modmic 4 has both omni and uni mics built in, with a toggling switch right near the microphone itself.
It looks like they're selling the ModMic 3 to be honest. I've had both the 3 and 4 and it is the 3 in the picture.

jackhinkleyIt seems that you are talking about the new ModMic 5. That one has all the things you just mentioned. The ModMic 4 currently comes in two versions: with and without an inline mute switch (the difference is about $7). No idea if the ModMic 4 that Antlion is currently offering is in any way different (upgraded?) from the one that you know, or if it is the same that Massdrop is offering right now. However, according to Antlion's website, it is the ModMic 5 (not the 4) the model that comes with 2 cables and a separate mute switch; also, that is the one that comes with two capsules and a switch to toggle between them. Apparently Antlion has discontinued previous variations of the ModMic 4 (like the omni-directional option). Maybe (most likely) this drop is for a variation that Antlion is not offering anymore. And that's why it would be very nice if somebody from Massdrop's Team could share more info about this.

mbornscheuerOh shit, you're right. I was comparing 4 and 5, not 3 and 4.

mbornscheuerI've already shown you the note, and they've added one more. NO MUTE SWITCH.

ysleeThey corrected the listing, indeed. The notes you mentioned were there, but the description was confusing and I believe that my question was valid. And the fact that they deleted the confusing part proves that, and also answers my question (even though they weren't willing to reply here directly and apparently sent you to kindly address my concern). Thank you for your kind replies. Case closed. Have a nice day.
