FissFissYES Uni would be best since there well be keystrokes with an open mic. I recently did an o-ring mod to my mechanical KB and the keystroke still register on my mic at a reasonable sensitivity for voice pickup.

FissFissIf you have an open mic while pressing keys it will get annoying to the people on the other end. IF not and you're typically in a quite environment then go with the Omni for sure. You will have greater clarity and more sensitivity in the condenser mic. Either way you can't go wrong with this mic.
Edit: Personally went with the Uni because I often use Skype with an open mic for my engineering firm. Sometimes the call quality isn't so good with my Chinese customers and I have to utilize the chat function. To eliminate that noise (plus the dogs and kids) I chose the Uni. Best mic is going to be based on the users situation.

FissFissI'd say it depends on your keyboard. I am using the ModMic 2.3 which uses an omnidiorectional Mic and I barely have any trouble. I am using a Cherry MX Brown Keys and I usually don't get any complains. The only keys I know will pretty much always be annoying to anyone on the other end are Cherry MX Blues and Greens, everything else will likely be okay. I would have gotten a Unidirectional Mic though if it had been available at the time. When I got my Modmic that was the first Mic they havd available after I had been waiting for months to get one of their Mics. I am still very happy with it though their build quality is phenomenal and I recommend them all the time.
