So is it worth waiting for a ModMic 5.0? or is this one good enough?

Sleeping_Snorlaxdepends on if you would use one now, or you could wait for the ModMic 7.0. buy it now, use it now. or wait just to wait.

Sleeping_SnorlaxI haven't read anything about a Modmic 5.0 as of now. They seem to be quite happy with the 4.0 Modmics for now. I personally love my 2.3 and while the stiffer external tube used for it makes it way less bendy and more prone to breaking by accident I really like the way it looks and love using it. I'd have thought they would release a bit of a 3.0/4.0 hybrid but haven't seen anything about any plans to do so at all.
