NicolasOklmJust look on ebay you can get a studio qaulity mike , shock mount and mic boom for $42 canadian delivered i did , no more sweaty ears from my headset or having to put the headset back when i run to get something or go to the bathroom. If you so much as touch that mod mike or set your headset down it pops off.The voice pick up qaulity of the mod mic is terrible i almost have to swallow the mic for anyone to hear me .Does not matter what settings i use .I bought a $2 dollar desk mic at a dollar store that works better than the modmic.
RicWGive me some product references, all I could find is cheap no name microphone. I heard quite a lot of good things about this mod mic 4, and for this price... I also like the way it clips to most of the headsets.
RicWIt really depends on what you are using this mic for. If you want something for on-the-go, a desktop mic/shock stand/pop filter is not the best way to go. If you don't have enough dedicated space on your desk for a mic, an attachable headset mic is a better use of your money. In addition, this mic has overwhelmingly positive reviews for quality (both sound and build) so I would assume that there's something wrong with your mic or setup. Many gamers use headset mics because they stay close to the head and don't pick up a lot of ambient noise due to the near proximity. Clicking from keyboards or other sounds can be very annoying if a desktop mic picks it up. As for the pop when putting the headset down, you can either use the built in mute switch or configure a hotkey for your computer's sound. The other things you mentioned aren't even an issue with the mic itself (sweaty ears are you headphones' fault, settings are the applications' fault). I'm not really sure why you voted on this product if you have such a negative view of it. I'll update if my opinion changes after the product arrives and I get a good chance to test it.
