Think I may finally jump in on this... realized its a more practical option than a desk mic for me.
I assume omni has better sound quality overall but less cancellation than unidirectional?

VintageSTXOmni means it can take in sound all around the mic. Overall quality doesn't necessarily improve against a unidirectional mic. It depends on what you would be comparing this mic to. Hope this helped to make a decision.
