I have a question that's been burning on my mind. I have had this mic for a while now(love it), but wonder if the magnetic connector that goes on the headphones messes with the magnet in the headphones at all, especially with lower impedance(easier to drive) headphones OR with open back headphones(especially low impedance open backs) where air movement is important for sound quality?? Also, is there any thought of bringing out a way of connecting the mic to the headphone cable at all? I know it may not be easy, the boon would wand to sway, but I'm sure there might be a way.

JayDay@JayDay As far as we know, there is no damage to headphones caused by the magnet nor any noticeable distortion of sound. We've been at this for over 4 years now and have not heard of this happening yet, nor have any of our tests shown any difference. I'm glad you asked though, as when I was hired (March of this year) it was the first question I asked too!
The trick about headphone cables is that many of them use proprietary connectors, such as locking clasps. Others use standard 3.5mm. Others are fixed and cant be removed. Short version is there's too many variables to make a one-stop fix, but we have some ideas on how to make something like this work. Nothing official yet. Improving cable management is our #1 priority for future ModMic stuff, so stay tuned! We're not just sitting around idle :D

AntlionJoeAwesome, great to hear! I didn't notice any distortion either, just wanted to hear for sure so it doesn't mess with my head. Thanks for the quick reply!
