how does this compare to a v-moda boom pro mic
lazerusWell, I don't own a Boompro (seriously) and I work with Antlion, but the pros and cons in as honest a way as possible is the V-moda is not compatible with many headphones, including some with detachable cables thanks to a huge variety of locking methods and other non-standard stuff. However, if it does work, it reduces the number of cables to 1 instead of our 2 (though we include cable clips to keep things together).
I'm not aware of any quality comparisons out there between the Boompro and the ModMic and since I don't own one I can't really speak to if there's a difference in either direction (not that you'd believe me if I did, haha).

AntlionJoeRegardless I appreciate the reply. I ended up going for the boom pros since this drop was up (a month ago) and now my v-modas need a repair and AR basically incompatible with my k7xx. I clipped them on but it's in elegance and issues are glaring since it's not made for that.
lazerusWell, K7xx is a very popular model with our users so I think you'd be very safe! :D

lazerusif you're buying the boompro and have an amp dac and plan on plugging the mic portion into your pc and headphones into the amp, you'll get a ground loop which is constant buzzing through the headphones just fyi

bryster126Actually I have done the exact thing with the centrance dacport slim. Head in to centrance and mic to desktop mic in. No problem at all
