People complaining about Massdrop, yet Massdrop's dealer probably won't budge on price. Name one place that has these cards for MSRP and still has them in stock.
If you NEED it, then it's likely worth it.
Not the "miners" fault either, most of the demand for these cards believe it or not is NOT for mining, simply for the resell value online because the demand was already there. Don't be mad at "miners", be mad at all the eBay & Amazon scam artists that are trying to force you to pay $1200+ for these cards.
While mining can be profitable, the amount of people that know what cryptocurrency mining is and how to do it, is probably near nothing compared to the size of the community of people that have been buying cheap and reselling any item into demand for decades, the size comparison probably makes miners look near non-existant.
Miners don't even KNOW if they will make a return, there is no guarantee.
Vs Somebody who is simply trying to resell an unopened item knows that the profit is almost guaranteed!
As a "Miner", I don't even buy 1080Ti's! They're NOT as profitable as lower end cards calculated by their price to performance.
I do not know any other "miner" that even uses 1080Ti's!
Pointing the fingers at the wrong crowd will not make this any better, will only create division and frustration.
