Anyone having a problem with theirs? Even on a winder with my other watches, mine stops if it's off my wrist longer than about 6 or 7 hours. None of my other autos has this issue.
MaestrobasserBe sure to check winder settings a mitoyta 9015 and only winds clockwise. Also if near dead when putting on your arm unelss winding some first it may stop if you don't move around enough.

WTS - Participated in the May 2019 drop, and got the Blue Mother of Pearl. If anyone is interested in buying, reply with an e-mail/contact and we'll work something out. Lovely watch, no issues, just trying to make room for newer ones in the collection.

I bought the ETA movement Abalone but I wanted to post my review here also to let everyone know that the watch face appearance seems to be RNG. Buyer beware: you may end up with one that looks like mine - or worse. Massdrop support won't allow me to return or exchange. Unlike any of the photos you'll see of this watch, mine looks completely different. Instead of the watch face done in one single piece like in other photos which would have looked amazing, mine looks like it was randomly pieced together like a mosaic. I've included photos to indicate what I mean as an example. It's hard to capture on camera but in person it looks really obvious that the watch face is split into multiple sections. Looks terrible in person

Wanton86If you still have yours I'd be happy to buy it from you. Mine also had more than one piece of abalone, cut and fitted together on the face. I liked it anyway, but it got stolen. If you list it on that one auction site *and reply to this comment when you list it* I can guarantee it will sell for the same price we bought them.

I was just about to pull the trigger on one of these and mentioned them to a friend who knows more about Maori history. He filled me in on the Maori feelings about Cook. So I did some reading and it turns out that, from the Maori, perspective, Cook was an invader, not a "discoverer". "Critics have described Cook, who landed in the area aboard HMS Endeavour in 1769, as a “murderer” and “crooked Cook”.  Leaders of the local Ngati Oneone tribe say historical records show that Cook’s crew shot nine of their people, killing six. They say Cook’s arrival was eventually followed by European settlement, which led to their dispossession and the demise of their culture." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/10/02/captain-cook-statue-removed-new-zealand-mountain-maori-protests/ Now, given the warrior nature of the Maori people I doubt it was a group of well wishers that Cook had shot. Still, it is their island and I am no one to judge their dispute. Think I will just stay out of it. And I will honor my friends feelings and not support an insult to him.

Registered. And looking forward to it. Swiss movement and sapphire crystal are my loves. Eta or Selitta(I'm an Oris fan so I LOVE a Selitta). But then I have 6 Steinharts(4 with ETAs and 2 with Soprod A10s) as well as a Victorinox, two CX Swiss Military, a Roamer, even a Tellus and a Raymond Weil, all with ETAs. Mostly 2824-2s. And yes I have a few Miyota 9015s and a coupe of NH35's Just seems that the NH35 is a Volkswagen engine that people love to stick in Porsche bodies and then charge Ferrari prices. I look forward to seeing if I can add an Aquacy to the collection.

PatronusIt's just cheap marketing bullshit--the watch has NOTHING to do with Cook, Maori people, Groucho Marx, or Chairman Mao! He's just trying sell you a watch.

Really not a fan of these watches nowadays that look way too much like a Rolex Submariner. There are many ways to reinvent the dive watch, and changing a couple of details here and there isn't one of them.

Is anyone else still seeing the Abalone dial as an option? I would have thought those sold out. I'm just worried that, while it does seem like I successfully joined the drop for the Abalone, Massdrop has screwed up the number available and I won't actually be able to get it. Can anyone confirm or deny?
planb10113We only had 4 and sold. Seems was sold out then 1 popped back up. I assume it was from cancellation of an order. Shows sold out now.

I struggle to see the difference between the blue mother of pearl and blue sunburst. Does anyone has some real life pictures where the difference is visible?
