ED61Depends on how you treat your watches. If you like to hand wind your watches to keep them running, go with the myota. If you just rotate your watches and leave them in a watchbox, go with the ETA. As far as vph, both are at 28,8.

ED61The issue is it costs so much to get a watchmaker to work on an automatic its more cost effective to just replace the movement. ETA 2824 is in the similar situation depending on the issue with it. If movements must be rebuilt its makes more sense to just replace it for many brands.

ED61Just...no on pretty much everything you said, but we’re all entitled to our opinions and I’ll respect yours. . However, it is not beats per second, it is most definitely vibrations hence vph.

WatchyoutalkingaboutBecause you saw vibration in the description here it is always most definitely bph in this country 28.800 beats per hour and it is true what you said they just replace them therefore there cheap period and don’t even compare to an eta swiss made movement I still own a citizen signature series 9010 and a selita sw500 chrono but eventually in this hobby you might wanna stop spending money on 30 half ass watches and learn to appreciate quality

ED61Every movement you just listed is a mass produced factory movement and nothing approaching the haute horology you seem to want to pretend to be versed in. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about, and you’re not a pleasant person. As such, conversing with you is pointless as I’d have to sink down to your level, and you would clearly beat me with experience. Good day, sir.

ED61https://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/eta-2824-winding-issue-2322506.html?amp=1 It’s a good thing that both movements were offered, as depending on one’s usage, one movement might be better suited for someone than the other. I wind my beater watches, so I avoid any eta 2800 series in those. I don’t mind them in my dress watches. Selitta, which was contracted by ETA to make their movements, decided to address this issue and others when the patent expired and they cloned the eta into the SW series. SW200 has one more jewel as a result. The myota 9000 series doesn’t have this hand winding issue, which again is something that really only affect those who like to wind their watches. Calling an entire series of movements crap is ignorant. Finally, these Swiss movements you keep on about actually contain Japanese and Chinese made parts. I’m shocked someone as clearly knowledgeable as you wasn’t aware of this. Eta, selitta, citizen and Seiko are all mass produced, factory made movements. This watch went for $299 for the myota, and less than $90 more for the eta. Use some common sense. The movement is a fraction of the price. I’m much more concerned with the build quality of the case, bracelet, bezel inserts and the overall quality control of whoever is putting the movement in the watch or regulating it.

WatchyoutalkingaboutI’m fully aware of where and how these movements are produced i know all about the patents and history I’ve spent a lot of money and had 40 watches at one time and I didn’t buy them in one day I’ve just decided to sell off most of my low end watches and start collecting much more Satisfying timepieces more to my personal likings been there done that now it’s time for luxury you will be seeing me posting a Rolex soon I do know what I’m talking about enjoy winding your watches and I’ll let my automatics do what there intended to do by the way I do know all about myota selita citizen is myota I know there mass produced i still own some but i don’t wear them anymore im not stupid im trying to tell you when it comes to mechanical watches it’s swiss made or grand Seiko or in house or crap

ED61Virtually all Swiss Made brands now use some parts from china in their builds. Its Allowed Under "Swiss Made" rules. Tudor, I don't know but would not surprise me at all.
