AquacySo does every ⌚ has the ISO 6425 certification? You can advertise 400m if the 500m is achieved πŸ˜ƒ https://www.watchtime.com/featured/dive-watch-defined/ Or this is a water resistant ⌚, not a diver's 😰

MarPablWe still can legally call it a dive watch. 6425 cert is not required to be called a dive watch. Its an an option certification. Liekly 95% of dive watches sold in the market are not actually 6425 certified.

AquacyBoth the article I referred to and Wikipedia disagree https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diving_watch If a ⌚ is gonna be called Diver, it must conform to the ISO 6425 specification. So I hope you can complete the rest of the testings πŸ™πŸΌ. It will be great to mark the dial of the ⌚ as diver πŸ§œπŸ½β€β™‚οΈ Can you share the source of your statistic regarding the 95% of ⌚ are designated Diver ⌚ with no certification ❓ that's disturbing 😱 I'm glad Aquacy is honest and the ⌚ is not marked as Diver. Kudos for this πŸ‘πŸ» We all know Drop is always making mistakes in their descriptions (Aquacy Hei Matau Automatic ETA 300M Dive Watch) but no big deal πŸ˜„

MarPablAs simple google search will show you dive watches of all types that are not ISO certified. The 95% is an estimate after 14 years experience. Dive watch styles are the most popular selling watch style. Literally millions upon millions sold in the USA alone every year. Finding one ISO 6425 certfied is NOT the norm. It can be harder to find. It is still a dive watch whether its ISO 6425 or not. ISO is not required and optional for a brand and very few brands do it for various reasons. We don't want to put divers on the dial. Thanks for you interest and comments.

MarPablYou can keep pointing out how wrong he is about the qualifications/requirements, but he'll never acknowledge it. True, the SKX007/009's were never certified either, but that didn't stop them from becoming very popular Dive watches. Part of what Aquacy is up against here is reputation and credibility, Seiko, Casio, and Citizen have it, Aquacy doesn't. The fact that his stuff is also more expensive than their stuff at the entry level price-point doesn't help. Bottom line, Aquacy makes a decent watch for people who like Aquacy's look, but not for those folks who are actually serious divers--and I don't think those who actually are serious divers are in anyway confused about that difference.

MidnightriderYes I wanted a divers ⌚😟 hopefully they'll complete the certification. Nice ⌚ indeed (except the abalone issues) just missing that bit
