AN has always felt like one of those brands that tries to fill the gap between the pretentious/expensive watch you want vs the pretentious/expensive watch you can afford--and tends to fail miserably--the fact that you can't swing a dead cat without hitting one on MD more or less illustrates that point. Ignore for the moment the pumped up MSRPs watches in this range flaunt, and consider their worth on the secondary markets, where buyers looking to unload an earlier purchase do so because...the hype didn't meet their expectations? Or the buzz from wearing an "expensive" watch wore off too soon? We'll never know--those details are seldom discussed on eBay or Chrono24, but imagine for a moment that YOU are the guy interested in selling yours (for whatever reason) and you discover MD is selling them in brand new condition for significantly less than even preowned versions are listed for elsewhere. I imagine at that point, the bright light of reality is going to snap on with a vengeance of a thousand sun rises and you're going to remember that line from Once In a Lifetime and ask yourself: "My god, what have I done?"
Consider the following possibilities:

Scenario B (below): You're a potential buyer and see MD's price and think, I'm get'n a deal!

Moral of the story: If Ferrari suddenly started selling Ferraris for $49,995 would they still be Ferraris, or just red Miatas?
And the most expensive GMT from a little lesser known brand is back... Ebay sellers are putting them up for $1000 and theyre still not moving. Not sure how Drop is going to move this piece at $1300..
groovinrouleThat's what I was suggesting: look it up, post the results (with a good link) and help other users with the same question, for all eternity--or at least as long as MD leaves our little chats up and available ;- )
