I bought this a few months ago when it was on MD and I absolutely love it. My complaint is that the mesh net underneath isn't as tight as it seems to be in the pictures after holding surge protectors and multiple cords. Additional knots tied fixed that right up for me. But now I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep the mouse pad desktop clean. Any suggestions?
thuggiThanks for the input. We'll have our design team look into your issue and see if we can improve in the future and if they have any ideas for your exact situation, we'll let you know. Regarding the mousepad cleaning, you can use warm water a small amount of soap to clean any spots. Also the entire pad is machine washable in warm or cold water, not hot please.

thuggiI had this conversation with someone else on this drop at some point, but I really don't feel like the mesh is to hold surge protectors and other heavy components. If Arozzi says otherwise, then they'd know better, but I use it strictly for cable management. Someone here had a good idea of mounting your surge protector right to the metal frame.
As for the mesh though, I had a small issue with it as well and had to make a tiny modification. Basically the monitor mounts that use the grommet hole mounting usually have a very long bolt. The mesh got in the way of that, and my choices were either have the bolt push the mesh down in one spot a great deal or take a knife and cut a 1-2cm slit in the mesh so the bolt could go through. I chose the latter, and it didn't impact the utility at all, but was mildly irritating as an oversight for a desk that is designed to let you grommet mount monitors.
As for keeping the mouse mat clean, I have that issue too and with 2 heavy, heavy monitors mounted on top of the mat I'm not chomping at the bit to disassemble the mounting setup just to grab the mat and throw it in the washing machine. I use a microfiber cloth with just some water and wipe the whole thing down once a week. It works very well, actually. Microfiber cloths are like miracle-workers when it comes to cleaning hard-to-clean surfaces.
