UPDATE #2: Received replacement base and mechanism from Arozzi via Fedex this afternoon. Took about 15 minutes to unscrew the base mechanism from the bottom of the chair and replace it with the new parts and metal base. I am extremely satisfied with the swift response from customer service and have zero regrets with my purchase.
To people considering buying this chair in the future: perhaps you can request Arozzi include the metal base with your order instead of the plastic one my order originally shipped with. The metal base seems very sturdy and provides a nice contrasting chrome color with my otherwise almost all black chair.
UPDATE #1: I spoke with Arozzi customer service and confirmed that the chair was still covered under warranty. They are sending me out replacement parts, including a metal base. Their customer service was swift in response and the replacement part shipped out on the same day I posted this review. Will update this review further once I've received the replacement parts, scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
After having this chair for barely a month I sat down in this morning and almost fell over. I came to discover a wheel had fallen out and the plastic that holds the wheel in place had broken. I was very disappointed to see that this chair came with a plastic base for its price point. Even in the instruction booklet it appears to have a metal base, but it is, in fact, plastic. Even my amazon basics chair came with a metal base...
I will gladly update this review upon hearing from someone with Arozzi about getting a replacement part for this chair, although I cannot see how I'll ever be able to pull this base off of the chair to replace it. It seems to be on there pretty good.
