How squishy is the bottom seat foam? How thick are the side bolsters and back rest?
I currently have a racing style chair already, love the style, but the bottom foam is basically rock hard and it gets fatiguing after more than 6 or so hours (I know, a true hardship). If the foam is considerably more comfortable it would justify the purchase for me. If not, it's the exact same style a my current one so it would be a waste.
SolomonRThe foam is comfortable, not rock hard, but also not "squishy" either. You don't want it to be too soft, either because that is fatiguing as well.  This is such a subjective area. Do you know the foam density of your current model?  That is a useful comparison. The Verona and Verona Pro seat foam density is 45kg/m3.

ArozziScottThanks for the reply, although I dont know the foam density of my current chair, I would very much describe it as "hard" - with minimal squish when I sit down. I figured it would break in after a while and it kind of has around the thigh and buttock areas but it's still a pain after a while.
How about the side bolsters and back rest? Lumbar support is amazing and all but sometimes I take the pad off and recline a bit, this is where the thinness of the backrest and bolsters shows. I can pinch the seat together through the front and back in a manner not unlike craft foam. The bolsters are even worse, almost nothing in them (having just pinched them, I can confidently say there's nothing at all, just stretched material across the frame).
SolomonRHmm, should I guess the brand? :) Anyway, I think you'll find the Verona a substantial upgrade from what you describe. It is a solid mid-price gaming chair and fully competitive at its $299 retail. This drop is a great deal.

ArozziScottIs a higher foam density better? The ak has 55kg and the new tt on here has 75kg.
dphjrIt's probably harder, that's for sure.  Companies like to talk about foam density because it is a number, so people can easily compare. The fact that TT claims that high density is proof.  But did you also see where users said that a previous model was hard and did not soften with time?
But beyond a certain threshold, say 35 kg/M3 it is really a matter of the designer's preference. We use different combinations in each model.  Like higher density in the seat because it gets the most stress but lower in the backrest because it needs to give a bit more.
