Just ordered one of these for myself. I went for the pro version myself. I thought the black/carbon seat looked really good. I am a little disappointed that it has a "plastic" 5-star base, but the chair I'm currently sitting in has the same thing. Granted the chair I'm in now is 80 bucks compared to 350 retail, but you would think for "350" it would have a heftier base. Still didn't stop me from ordering one. Can't wait for it to come in!
theniceguy9112Molded composite materials are stronger than the pressed metal bases that come with other chairs, including the original Verona and Verona Pro. That is actually one of the upgrades we made to the V2. I know it is counter intuitive for a lot of people but when you see it in person you will understand.

ArozziScottInteresting... I appreciate the feedback on this. It was more of a nit pick on my part, but if the base is stronger than steel then I can understand using it. Being a mechanic I know how handy carbon fiber is, which is another composite that is stronger than steel. If the base is going to be stronger than this purchase is even sweeter than I thought.
