Go to Trader Joe's; get a better bag for $10. This is literally just a shopping bag made of a cloth material. What is the justification for the price? You can get a really nice leather briefcase for this amount.

Typhoon859Artifact bags are FAR superior to a cloth bag from Trader Joe’s.... It’s not even close! I already own one Tool and Garden Tote and will probably go ahead and get this deal.

clayehHmm, the Trader Joe's one (the higher quality one) is pretty structurally sound; I mean, regardless, I don't see the justification for such a high price. If you really need something heavy duty for whatever purposes, aren't there better options in this price range?
Also, if there's a very specific use case, usually there's something specifically designed for that use, rather than just a simple empty sack. Don't know. I'm just not getting it then.

Typhoon859Yes, it’s expensive but great for storing/carrying items like extension cords , circular saws, hammers, etc. I like the fact that the canvas is crazy thick. I also own Filson bags but as much as I love Filson, they’re used for groceries or light items. As a Gear Junkie, I have found that, unfortunately, you get what you pay for...

clayehI see what you're saying. I guess yeah, you're right. I don't really see a more comfortable way of carrying all those things.

Typhoon859Same argument could be used to justify only buying a Yugo car, wearing only clothing from a discount store, etc.
Go ahead with that if that works for you. I certainly want better.

DDroNo, because the only reason I made that argument is because I didn't see a difference. I find the Trader Joe's bag to be of sufficient quality and didn't see a way to make one much better using also just cloth. For the price difference and at the price range of this one, I was saying you can get like a very firm and quality leather bag, so I was just missing the point of this one. Clayeh there above kind of clued me in. In no way am I an advocate of cheap crap. It's actually almost never cost efficient in the long run anyway.
